This year's edition of the Margaret River Pro will


take place from Sunday, 24th April 2022 - Wednesday, 4th May 2022.

It is the next stop on the men's and women's Championship Tour, with competitors most recently competing at Bells Beach in Victoria.

Where is the Margaret River Pro?

The Margaret River Pro is held at Surfers Point, located in Prevelly, Western Australia.

It is located approximately th


ree hours south of Perth and is nearby the town of Margaret River, hence the name of the event.

The location is regarded as one of the most consistent big wave surfing destinations in the world.

Margaret River Pro format and schedule

The event is split into a men's and women's competition, with participants competing in a range of knockout rounds.

A seeding round begins proceedings before the field is


narrowed down to 32.

Surfers participate in duels from there on, aiming to score higher than their opponent in their respective runs.
